Sew Easy: SewPowerful Project
I wanted to share a project I just completed for an organization called SewPowerful.
“ The purses you provide are used in local schools and clinics in Lusaka Zambia as part of Menstruation Hygiene Management (MHM) programs. This simple gift – combined with re-usable sanitary pads and health information can make a tremendous difference in the lives of adolescent girls. Our ministry partners work hard to educate and inform the girls in their community so that they stay in school and grow in confidence and self-esteem. It really is sew powerful! “
I had so much fun making this cute cross body purse.
I know my contribution; along with all the others will brighten these young girls faces.
I have a plan to visit Zambia within the next year because I’ve been eager to check out Victoria Falls. Everyone I know that has went says its life changing. Hopefully during that trip and I can make a stop to visit the area of Lusaka, this project supports.
Have you ever done a project like this? Would you like to get involved?
